|Beach Club & Cellar Door productions teamed up to promote "THE FLORRIDA WORLD MUSIC
FESTIVAL" the largest Festival in Florida in the 1970's with a record sell out crowd of 60,000 fans at the
Tangerine Bowl in Orlando, Florida. The Concept originated from the 1978 "TEXXAS WORLD MUSIC
FESTIVAL" where concert promoters wanted to duplicate the 1978 "CALIFORNIA JAM II" in Texas. Ted
Nugent & Aerosmith were headliners at every "WORLD MUSIC FESTIVAL" in Texas, California, Florida and
The Florida World Music Festival featured a circus type atmosphere with rides and games along with a Rock &
Roll Super Market with vendors selling Novelties, Records and Rock & Roll Memorabilia. Around Midnight the
closing of the Festival featured a 20 minute Fireworks Extravagonzo !
When referring to this Festival you would be correct by calling it the :

or the "1979 FLORRIDA JAM".
There was a series of 3 North American WORLD MUSIC FESTIVALS in 1979. Ted Nugent & Aerosmith
were the headliners at all 3 festivals with various supporting acts at different venues.
The first and largest was held at the LA Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, California on April 7 & 8, 1979.
The second festival was held at the Tangerine Bowl in Orlando, Florida on April 14, 1979. And the third festival
was held at the National Exhibition Stadium in Toronto, Canada on July 2, 1979.
